I NEED ADVICE FROM SOMEONE SEASONED IN READING SHEET MUSIC?

If musical tones can be made with just bars (as it is with ChordMusic) then what is the benefit of learning to read traditional sheet music? Is there a big difference between the two? MY MISSION: TO FIND POPULAR HIT MUSIC THAT'S IN AN EASY TO READ (FOR TOTAL BEGINNERS) FORMAT SO I CAN STUDY THE HITS AND LEARN SOME OF THE ELEMENTS (RHYTHM/BASE/BEAT/ETC) THAT MAKE A SONG A HIT IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD- THEN I CAN PRACTICE IN THAT STYLE ON CHORDSONGS.

Should piano teacher teach child how to read music?

I have a 10 year old disabled child learning piano. She's very good, but the teacher has not focused on teaching her how to read music. She has been handing her sheet music and expecting her to play it. My child has no idea what to do with it. I have my 15 year old write down the letter notes for her. The piano teacher keeps telling me to have my 15 yr old teach her how to read music. To work with her at home. The teacher hasn't spent any time teaching her how to read music and it seems like she's leaving the job up to my teenager. Is this normal? I don't know anything about music and I'm not sure how this works, but it seems strange to me to hand my child sheet music when she has not been taught to read music.

How much information does the brain have to have in order for a person to master the piano & reading music?

How much information does the brain have to process and have in order for a person to master piano and is able to look at a piece of music and start playing it and then play song after song with out messing up,I don't understand how a pianist can play the piano fast,keep their hands moving and have their eyes glued to the music and and operate the pedals all at the same time.

Free or cheap online music reading courses?
