i have to learn to read music just to be able to be come a professional singer?

i am stuck i have wanted to become a professional singer and acter for over 7 years now and i just found out that you need to know how to read music to become a real professional singer, my dad doesn't want me to be a singer or acter he want me to do some thing eles and my mom isn't the best suporter to. i am so depresed what do i do , i don't feel like i have to time to learn how to read music with tuotering, acting, singing, and school. my grandpa plays the pino but he lives the 15mintes away, should i ask him to help. what should do! or do you relly need to know how to read music?

I’d say it’s almost impossible to be a professional singer if you don’t know how to read music. You need to be able to look at a song somebody has written and sing it without hearing it from anybody else.
If you really want to do it, make time to learn.

You definitely need to know how to read music. I think you should ask you’re grandpa for help or maybe the choir teacher at your school. It may take up more of your time but it’ll be worth it in the end if being a professional singer really is what you want to do.

you absolutely need to know how to read music to professionally sing! if someone hands you some music, and tells you to maybe play it and sing, you should be able to depict the notes to know what to sing. you’ll also need to know what pitch your voice is, etc.
