How difficult is it to learn to play the piano?

This has been one of my dreams for a long time. I played a little during Music class while I was at High School, but I can't remember alot now..is it difficult to learn how to read music? Do you think it's too late for me (I just turned 21 =)).
I am a very fast learner and I love to express myself through artistic means...
Oh and I really don't have alot of time, I am still a student, I work and I do alot of other things.
So what steps do you think I should take?

i say go 4 it!
wat u need do is just get a piano (wud b a gd strt well obv) lol
but dam if u livd near i wud help i have a book lol
but if u have ne1 cud teach u wud be good .
maybe get in touch with a tutor or learn the basic steps umm i snt reali knw how describe it withoout a piano been in front of me lol

of course it isn’t too late. i’d definitely take lessons though. and piano isn’t a very good way to express yourself. it just isn’t. too hard

It is not difficult to learn to play the piano at all…the difficult part is learning to play it well…this an area of music that thrives on what I like to call real music, jazz, blues, classical, among a few of the genres. I personally think it’s almost necessary to have a private instructor for it, simply because of the history behind it, and all you must learn.
Reading music is extremely easy…at least I think so…it’s just as easy as reading a book is for me…IDK. If you are willing to work hard and try your best, you’ll do fine.

Learning how to play the piano is like anything else. It requires time, dedication, and focus to your new craft including patience to give yourself to accept your mistakes and to allow time for improvement.
