To learn Moonlight Sonata 1st mvt, and I've now learned up to about 1 minute and 15 seconds of that video in the past 3-4 hours.
My sister said that was pretty fast and that I should take lessons because I have some natural skill, but I'm not sure if that was just encouragement or something I should really look into! so is this fast or average? I'd like some advice from people who actually play.
thanks.
I think I overestimated, it's only been 2-3 hours!

Learn How to Read Music
You have been Blessed with the Tools to PLay and appreciate Music, a private teacher would be your best direction, someone that can evolve your natural ability by training your fingers to move in the most efficient manner. and remove any unnecessary movement that will detract from the flow from the music page to the keyboard.
Watch professionals, not the head moving but the finger movement..
To Evolve, requires finger speed and efficient application, so you must be prepared to do a lot of finger exercise scales.
The fastest fingers I’ve ever heard, was a Jazz Player called Art Tatum, You can still hear and watch him on YouTube.

read music fast
You should go slowly. Start from the beginning.
Learn the notes, scales, arpegios and some music theory.
Dont rely on videos to play, learn to read music.
Practise and practise to get your finger to become flexible enough.
I will recommend that you get a teacher but if not get some tutorial or some music theory books.
If you get your base strong then you can play well.
Dont rush in the beginning.
Good luck.
