I got a job to teach a family friend’s son how to play guitar. I can play very well, yet can’t read music?

He is like 10 years old. I know a lot about musical theory and chordal structures and the notes on the fretboard, yet I still can't apply what I know to a sheet of music for the guitar.. Other than that, i think I could pull it off. Any advice? Thanks!: )

Music Theory for Beginners
Buy beginner songs. Practice those. Then teach him with those beginner songs.
But it’s good to teach him some music theory before you go right into lessons.
