Do I Have To Read Music To Make Beats ?
Pun G asked:
I make beats. People say they are pretty good, but I don't know how to read music. I really don't read music when I make beats with FL Studio. I Just Try to find a note that matches the flow. My grandmother said I have to learn how to read music. I don't want to. I feel like i'm better off trying to find notes. So, do u think i should learn how to read music. Remember, I use FL Studio.

How to Read Music Hub
if you’re really serious about your music, like you want to do something professional with it when your older then it might be helpful to you to learn about music theory, how to read music, etc. But otherwise, really there’s no reason for you to have to know how to read music especially if you use FL studio and make beats. Besides there’s so many great musicians who can’t read music either, like Paul McCartney and John Lennon for example. A lot of people just play what feels right to them like you. There’s so much more to music than just notes

Learn How to Read Music
It helps. A lot.
But there’s plenty of great musicians who play what they know, not knowing what it’s called that they’re playing. If the music’s good, why change it?

Learn How to Read Music Notes
Knowing something NEVER hurts. If you aren’t going to learn how to read, you should at least learn how to play a little. Then take it from there.
