How do you read sheet music for guitar?
Just A Musician asked:
I'm not talking about Tablatures, I'm talking about reading notation. I REALLY want to learn guitar and I don't have the money for lessons. I know how to play chords but I don't know how to read music. Please help me.

Music Theory for Beginners
I don’t think this is something you can really be taught on yahoo answers. If you’re really serious about learning to read sheet music you need to actually go and learn what all the symbols ont he sheet music mean i.e what notes they correspond to, time signatures, key signatures etc and then you need to learn to apply that to the guitar. I think there are some books out there that are acailable in any bookstore that could maybe teach you like this so maybe go scope that out and see if it’s any help but it’s gonna take you a while to get used to it if you’ve never learnt anything about sheet music before.Good Luck!
