Can someone please explain how to read music sheets for piano?
Fa(ne)t Bark asked:
I don't understand them. I've looked up videos and I'm still confused. I want to be able to read, and play by what I read.

Nothing can replace a good teacher. Check with music stores. Most of them have lists of teachers.
While it is possible to learn a lot from books, videos, and computer programs, it is a much slower process.

It’s tough. Most piano primers are idiotic and simply insulting. There was, however, a major league classical composer in the early to mid twentieth century named Bela Bartok, who wrote a fantastic set of books to teach sight reading to his son. Almost any well-equipped music store will have them and they are used successfully to teach sight reading to students from first grade to college. They are called MIKROCOSMOS and are (I think) eight volumes long. Try volume one. It may help PROVIDED you are willing to spend at least a half hour a day practicing! If you can’t promise yourself that you will do that, you cannot learn to sight read music. Good luck!

I’d love to help, but to answer that question would take WAY more space than I have here, so the best thing I can do it help point you to some resources.
For starters I would check out, there is some good free info there. Also, if this is something you want to master pretty quickly, checkout the sight below.
