First of all piano is a foundation for music education, because music is a language of multiple sounds and piano should be taught to all people before any other instrument.
Second, voice is a craddle of music and it is scientifically proven fact that people (even tone deaf) can easily develop their musical aptitute by singing Solfeggio.
You may drastically improve your sight-reading, music memory and ear by switching to Solfeggio with fix Do

Anchient Greeks were first, who invented letter names for music notes. In 10th century Italian monk Gvido from Arezzo created Grand Staff and Solfeggio syllables for music notes.
Due to the fact that you learned English using your speech memory you memorize syllables faster then letters.
Therefore, if you want to develop your ear and voice, if you want to write any music on paper by ear, learn REAL Solfeggio (with fixed Do)

Create a video blog…instantly.
Nto re mi..etc etc are the greek naming for the notes instead of using letters.Iam Greek and thats they way we learn them when we start reading music. Also its true that this way sounds more musical and its easier for solfege studies too.But at the end of the day….you use what is comfortable for you.

Notes are used for instruments such as piano and others of its kind. String instruments such as the violin, cello, and viola use clefs the tenner, soprano, and alto. Vocals use Do, Re, Me. Only people that are trying to learn piano and sing vocals should learn Do, Re, Me etc. Personally It was easier for me to learn the letters then the sounds, and I DIDN’T use short cuts like: every good boy does fine. I trained myself to truly sight read. When I see middle C my hand just goes were needed etc..
