That’s a radical statement dude. Classical and Jazz music and cultures would not have been possible without written music. The reason being it was intended for many different ensembles to play, not just one. Also, in classical music the ensembles were large and were given very complex, demanding music. Any musician who can’t read should sacrifice some time to figure it out. It’s not that hard and It’s simply amazing how sounds can be written as visual information to communicate to anyone.

Insightful. Peter explains how he doesn’t need to know how to read music to be a MUSICIAN. Reading music has nothing to do with the art of music.
