I play guitar, and ca play fairly well, but my sight reading isnt that good. I know the basics of reading music such as what the minums and crotchets are but i want to get fluent at it...especially reading rhtyhym...

Guitar is very hard to sight read off of normal sheet musicl; this is why alot of players use tabs and listen to a track.
I play guitar and side drum, and I learnt to read music by my side drum tutor. As the drum is monotone, I got to practise sightreading the timings and got pretty good. As for tone and such, you of course have to memorise where the notes are on written scores; practise on a keyboard.
Once you get good at the basics of sight reading, you must remember where the notes are for all of the strings and frets when played. Practise makes perfect, so do this as much as you can.
Reading off of sheet music is very useful, just that many people can’t be bothered to learn. Classical music is a good example, where you can learn pieces that are usually played on piano etc…
Good luck mate.

learn classical music …try to find the tabs by yourself…..practice different combinations of the notes of octave…and yes remember the notes instead of reading them in a performance..
